Darcy Ashton is trained as a graphic designer.  She has been designing original quilts for over 15 years and has written four best selling appliqué books.  She has a unique easy style that is perfect for those of you who would love to learn the art of appliqué, most of her designs are sewn from just one piece of fabric.  She also has several original techniques that make appliqué easy and fun.  Her classes involve how to trace patterns onto your fabric without a light-box, how to create smooth flawless appliqué, numerous embellishment tricks, and the best part is her unique "stay-where-you-put-it" buttonhole stitch.
