Baker, Barbara K. & Jeri Boe

Baker, Barbara K. & Jeri Boe

The high-desert town of Bend, Oregon, is the home of Barbara Baker, who is always in the midst of a creative whirlwind. She sews, quilts, paints, buys fabric, gardens, and attends many hockey tournaments. An active member of the Mount Bachelor Quilting Guild, Barbara designed the guild's logo.

Barbara creates quilts for Robert Kaufmann Fabrics, and her quilts have been published in McCall's Quilting magazine. Her quilts have also appeared in several C&T titles, including Diane Phalen Quilts, Laurel Burch Quilts, and Wine Country Quilts.

Designing and teaching at local quilt shops and guilds, and at the Quilter's Affair in Sisters, Oregon, help to enrich Barbara's quiltmaking skills. She loves to experiment and try new techniques, colors, and designs. Barbara is also a professional longarm machine quilter, and incorporates that expertise in her work.

Jeri Boe creates beautiful quilts and other artwork in the high-desert town of Bend, Oregon. She started quilting over 20 years ago. Jeri has taken tailoring and numerous art courses at the college level, and uses her artistic skills when designing and making quilts and clothing.

Jeri is a CPA and has a degree in Computer Information Systems. She creates hand-dyed and painted fabrics and threads and enjoys creating her own quilt designs and patterns. Jeri uses a variety of computer programs to assist in generating designs. She is a passionate photographer, and often uses her photographs as inspirations for her work.

Jeri's photographs and/or quilts have been published in several C&T titles, including Laurel Burch Quilts and Wine Country Quilts. She has taught at quilt shops and guilds, and at the Quilter's Affair in Sisters, Oregon. When Jeri is not creating quilts, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family and going on outdoor adventures. She may be found hiking, biking, snowshoeing, or rafting, often with her camera in tow just looking for the next inspiration.
