Brick, Cindy
Cindy Brick is an editor, designer, and writer who travels the world teaching about quilting and quilt history. A former editor for Quilter's Newsletter, she is also an American Quilter's Society-certified textiles appraiser and professional quilt restorer. She has written more than a hundred magazine articles and four books, including Hanky-Panky Crazy Quilts, The Stitcher's Language, of Flowers, and the Fabric Dating Kit. Her next book, Hanky Panky with a Flourish, will also be released in 2008. She contributed to nearly all of Encyclopaedia Eritannica's quilt-related entries; she also consulted for three television specials on quilting (appeared in person on one) and was on Simply Quilts to explain her Hanky Panky quilt method. She is the "Old Things Considered" columnist for McCall's Vintage Quilts and a frequent contributor to other magazines, newsletters, and online listservs.
Cindy lives and works in Castle Rock, Colorado, with her family and two spoiled Weimaraners.
